What a great trip!! Bird Island should really be called Sea Lion port. There are hundreds of them here. Big bull Sea Lions and little baby ones. They just love to lie on the rocks and sun themselves or play in groups in the water. Well we got in the water with them and they came right up to us. Never got close enough to touch but it was funny because when you would swim towards them they would swim away and when you would swim away they would follow you. It was a blast and it is a fast trip to the island aboard one of the many boats the charter trips to the island.
